Date: November 4 – December 3, 2019
Location: Ziburu Mendi, France
Content: 1 hour of movement each day for one moon cycle.
The movements in the performance are focused on using the hands on the ground, meaning there will be a lot of inverted body positions. The reason for this is to get out of our habitual movement patterns, where we primarily have our feet downward and the head upward. The performance was done in nature because it encourages us to move using the whole body. Since there aren’t the comforts of civilisation, like chairs, tables and cars, we need to replace the usage of them using our bodies. And using our bodies makes us alive; it makes our senses and minds more awake.
